BE NUMBER 1 ON YAHOO FOR 10 CENTS
Your website could be listed today at number
1 on Yahoo and Altavista for as little as 10
cents per click.
How on earth can that be? Let me explain.
Yahoo Australia's top 3 results are provided
by Overture Australia. Websites in Overture
Australia bid for positions on a "pay per
click" basis. That means that you pay
NOTHING to be listed, but every time someone
clicks on your link to visit your site it costs
you how much you bid per click. And you know that
it is nearly always very targetted traffic,
because your listing only appears when someone
searches for your product.
Now, here's the secret which we are revealing,
which unfortunately won't be a secret forever.
Overture Australia is relatively new, so there
are many topics/products that simply have no
advertisers yet. If you go to www.yahoo.com.au,
do a search on anything, and the top results are
under the heading "Top 20 Web Results",
this means that there are no advertisers yet.
Overture advertisers go ABOVE these listings
under the heading "Sponsor Results".
So, if you do a search for your product and
there are no Sponsored Results, that means that
you can list your site at number one (through
Overture Australia) for the minimum bid of 10
cents per click (NOTE: Overture does charge a
minimum of $1.00 for some competitive keywords).
Even if there are 1 or 2 sponsored sites, then
you can still be listed at number 3 for 10 cents,
or higher if you bid more than the other
Sponsored sites.
Do you operate accommodation in Bunbury? In
Busselton? As this newsletter goes out there are
no advertisers for people searching for Bunbury
or Busselton. Do you provide patios, boat tours,
or party equipment? Again, there are no current
advertisers for these products.
Do a search for your product, service, or
region. How much is a targetted visitor worth to
you? For example, if you're a hotel in
Dunsborough, and someone searched Yahoo for
"dunsborough accommodation" - how much
is it worth for them to visit your site? 10
cents?
There are a few of these Pay Per Click
services around in Australia, and they all have
their own rules, minimum spends, account fees,
and so on. But if you're really interested in
advertising your business this way, then we have
a service that may help you.
We will manage all of your Pay Per Click
advertisements in Overture, Yahoo, Altavista, and
Google, which includes writing the ads,
monitoring your bids, and keeping your spending
within your set budget. We even provide
fortnightly reports on how you're going. This
means you don't have to have your own Pay Per
Click accounts, we simply use ours and then
invoice you for your traffic.
We charge $50 a month for this service (plus
GST), and there's no minimum contract. You can
try it out for a month and if you're not happy
with it you don't need to continue. Money spent
on clicks is extra on top of the $50.
