Let Us Sell For You!
One of the new directions South West eCommerce is heading is to sell other people's products for a commission. There are two main ways this is done:
1) Affiliate Marketing
2) Dropship/Wholesale
In this edition of our newsletter we want to focus on dropshipping, and how it can be used to sell more of your products.
So what is dropshipping? Here is a basic rundown of the procedure:
- We advertise your products on our websites. South West eCommerce specialises in search engine ranking and online advertising, and we have many areas where we can advertise your products.
- When the customer makes an online purchase, they pay online through our online payment systems, making payment to us
- We then place an order with you, at wholesale rates, and you ship the product directly to the customer. You also then handle any customer support or returns that may be required.
What are the advantages? You get to benefit from our expertise in online sales, and you sell more products. You also don't need to worry about online marketing or sales, we handle all of that. Our profit is the difference between your wholesale price to us, and the retail price that we charge the customer. So it's kind of like a wholesale/retail arrangement, except that we don't hold stock, we order from you as required. Dropshipping has become very popular all over the world because it allows internet marketers (like us) to do what they do best (sell online), without having to purchase wholesale stock beforehand.
If this sounds like it might suit you, please contact us at admin@southwestecommerce.com, however we need to specify up front that not all products or arrangements will suit dropshipping. In particular, the arrangement normally needs to have the following charactertics to be worthwhile:
- It needs to be a product that sells over the Internet
- The profit per sale (retail price - wholesale/dropship price) needs to be high enough to justify the administration time we would spend making an order for the customer
- There needs to be a particular search engine optimisation or advertising opportunity. We would be able to tell you if this exists or not, just email us!
In future editions, we will discuss ways in which we can market your products in return for a commission (Affiliate Marketing) but for now, if you feel that dropshipping may work for your business, please feel free to drop us a line.
$100 Google Adwords Vouchers
Good news, the popular Google Adwords vouchers that finished last year have been extended by Google.
If you are interested in trying Pay Per Click Search Engine Marketing (Google Adwords), then now is the time to do it, as Google are giving away $100 in free clicks for all new accounts that are opened through South West eCommerce.
Although these vouchers cannot be applied to our management fee, they do mean that your first $100 worth of "clicks" are free. We have a number of these vouchers available, but they do expire on 31 March 2010.

Niche Blueprint 2.0 Update
