Google PageRank Update

Earlier this month Google surprised us with a Toolbar Page Rank update. Normally it happens every 3 months, and it had only been 2 months since the last update, so this latest update caught us by surprise.
What's Page Rank? It's the public value (out of 10) that is assigned by Google to every page on the Internet, and is generally meant to show how "popular" or "reputable" a web page is. A general rule is that the more incoming links there are to that web page, the higher the Google Page Rank will be.
So what's new in this update? Like other updates it seems that Google are continually raising the bar when it comes to the amount and types of incoming links you need to get a high page rank. This is probably a normal reaction to try and overcome those sites that build or buy hundreds or thousands of links in order to rank higher. So if your website has not reduced in Page Rank after this update, you've probably done well.
There is also talk that this update focused a lot on "long tail keywords" and subpages, rather than home pages. What this means is that you're most likely to see Page Rank changes on your subpages than your home page in this latest update.
However your site was affected, the response should be to continue building links on an ongoing basis. For those of you on our Search Engine Optimisation service, don't worry, we've got you covered.

What People Will Do For Five Dollars
Check out this site: www.fiverr.com.
Basically it is a website where people will list things they will do for 5 bucks. While some of them are pretty wierd (you could spend hours going through them all, and laughing), there are some really good deals there for promoting your website.
For example, for 5 dollars you could have someone review and promote your site on their popular blog, send your ad to their email list, and many other options.
There's a lot to pick from, so have a look through and you'll find something that can be of use to you. Or there's even a space for you to post what you want (for 5 dollars).
