PEEL ADS: THE NEW POP-UP
If you're anything like us, you hate pop-ups. You know, the ones where you visit a website and it spawns another window or two without you even asking for it.
And it's not only humans who hate pop-ups, it's some search engines too. For many years now, Google have refused to allow websites to advertise in their paid sponsorship ads if they contain a pop-up on their site. While some people still claim to get great results for pop-ups, the sad truth is that people can find them quite annoying.
But we've come across another kind of advertisement that seems to have the best of both worlds. It immediately get's people's attention, and it looks great, but it's not intrusive. If people don't want to check it out, it is very easily ignored. It's called a Peel Ad. It's hard to explain how it works, so it's probably best for you to just take a look. Visit these sites, and take a look in the top right hand corner:

As you can see, these ads provide an enticing snippet for people to roll their mouse over, and if they view it further they are presented with the full ad, which can then be clicked on take them to the destination webpage. But it's not intrusive like a pop-up.
