SEARCH ENGINE RANKING RELAUNCH
OK, OK, we hear you!
During 2007 we announced that we were considering phasing out our search engine optimisation services (to focus on other services), but the level of enquiries about search engine ranking continued to be very strong, and we found that the majority of our customers still wanted us to provide search engine optimisation etc.
So rather than phase out the services as originally planned, we have instead done the opposite. We have spent time reworking them into packages that are better than before, and we can now offer a complete range of top quality services that are designed to make sure you site is appearing as high as possible in the major search engines.

HOW TO: TRANSFER YOUR DOMAIN NAME TO SOUTH WEST ECOMMERCE
in this new section we go through step-by-step guides on how to solve common queries that we receive. This month is about how to transfer your domain name to South West eCommerce.
- If you don't have a free domains account with us, visit http://domains.southwestecommerce.net.au and open a free account by clicking on the link at the top of the left hand side menu.
- Log into your account
- Once logged in, click on Transfers (top menu)
- Follow the instructions on the Transfers page to have your domain transferred to us. To transfer your domain name, you will need the domain name password. If you don't have this, you can have it emailed to you by your current domain registrar. Often they will have a "Domain Password Recovery Tool" on their website that will automatically email it to you.
- Once you have submitted the transfer, an automated email will be sent to the email address on the domain records. You must follow the instructions in that email for the transfer to go through (usually involves just clicking on a link to confirm)

SPEED UP YOUR COMPUTER WITH XP MEDIC
If you are using Windows XP and find that your computer is running slow, you may find some assistance with software called XP Medic, found at www.xpmedic.com. We tried it on one of our machines and it sped up the performance considerably.
Please note, however, that there are many reasons your computer could be running slow, including spyware, viruses, or just because it's an old computer. But if you've ruled out those as the cause, you may want to give XP Medic a try.
